Planning and Booking Framework

ELSEWHERE begins with inquiry, research and planning. Travel arrangements begin only after the relevant programme, responsibilities, terms and licensed operator have been confirmed in writing.
This page explains that distinction. It is not, by itself, a booking contract.

1. The parties and their roles
   HONG KONG GUANYU ELSEWHERE CO., LIMITED（香港觀閾有限公司）, trading as ELSEWHERE / 观閾, is responsible for the Website and provides journey conception, research, planning and related advisory services.
   Actual travel arrangements are provided under a separate contract by a licensed travel operator. For programmes currently operated with ELSEWHERE in Mainland China, the operator is:

   The final proposal and booking documents will identify the operator responsible for a particular programme. If another licensed operator is required, that operator will be disclosed before booking.

   
   

2. Inquiry and planning
   Website routes and journey descriptions are examples of perspective, structure and possible direction. They are not offers capable of acceptance and do not confirm availability, price or inclusion.
   An inquiry may lead to a discussion, a planning proposal or a request for further information. Any fee for ELSEWHERE’s planning or advisory work, if applicable, will be stated in a separate written proposal. No planning engagement is formed until the relevant parties accept that proposal or agreement in writing.

   
   

3. When a travel booking is formed
   A travel booking is formed only when:
   - the licensed travel operator has issued the applicable programme details and booking conditions;
   - the traveller or contracting client has accepted those documents in the required manner; and
   - any required deposit or payment has been received by the party identified in those documents.
   No payment is collected through this Website.

   
   

4. Programme-specific terms
   Deposit amounts, payment schedules, cancellation charges, refund arrangements, minimum group size, inclusions, exclusions and change conditions differ by programme. They will be stated before commitment in the relevant proposal, operator contract, confirmation or booking conditions.
   If there is any inconsistency between this Website and final programme-specific documents, the final written documents prevail.

   
   

5. Changes and availability
   Routes, timing, accommodation, transport, encounters and other elements may need to change because of availability, local conditions, safety, weather, access, regulation or events beyond reasonable control. No element is confirmed until it appears in the final written documents.
   Material changes, alternatives, cancellation rights and any financial consequences will be handled under the programme-specific booking conditions and applicable law.

   
   

6. Traveller responsibilities
   Travellers are responsible for reviewing the final programme documents and for meeting passport, visa, immigration, health, insurance and conduct requirements communicated for the journey. Travellers should disclose relevant accessibility, dietary or health considerations through the secure process identified during planning, rather than through a general Website inquiry form.

   
   

7. Insurance and risk
   Travel may involve unfamiliar environments, transport, weather, altitude, walking, food and cultural settings. Programme-specific documents will identify material considerations known at the time. Travellers remain responsible for obtaining insurance appropriate to the destination, activities and cancellation risks, unless the final booking documents expressly state otherwise.

   
   

8. Personal data
   ELSEWHERE may share information necessary to assess or arrange a proposed journey with the identified licensed operator and relevant suppliers, as described in our Privacy Policy. Additional passenger information required after booking will be collected and handled under the privacy terms supplied by the responsible operator.

   
   

9. Responsibility and complaints
   Questions concerning ELSEWHERE’s planning or advisory work should be sent to programs@else-where.co.
   Questions, changes, cancellations or complaints concerning confirmed transport, accommodation, guiding or other travel services should be directed to the licensed travel operator using the contact details in the applicable booking documents. ELSEWHERE may assist communication where appropriate but does not replace the operator’s contractual responsibilities.

   
   

10. Governing terms
    Use of the Website and any separate planning agreement with HONG KONG GUANYU ELSEWHERE CO., LIMITED are governed by the law and dispute-resolution provisions stated in those documents, ordinarily the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
    Travel arrangements contracted with 四川星宇国际旅行社有限公司 are governed by its final travel contract and booking conditions, including the governing law and dispute-resolution provisions stated there, ordinarily the applicable laws of the People’s Republic of China as applied in Mainland China.
